Check out what I bought this morning! I bought two 24 packs of bottled water at $2.99 each. Three boxes of Oatmeal at $1.99 each. Three softsoaps at 99 cents each. A dove shampoo and conditioner were BOGO, leaving a cost of $4.99 for one. I paid $1.41 for my purchase!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! $1.41 came out of my wallet!!!!!! I had $12 in reward bucks and the rest were coupons! I AM AMAZED! Great deal huh!?! I just had to share! I saved $34.12 and spent $1.41. These deals were all purchased at Walgreens! Some of the prices and coupons end today!

You are queen of savings - that is so awesome!!

I am awful about checking the paper before I go to the store. I just round up the kids and take what little list I've been able to put together and go - I'm starting to think that maybe this isn't the best way?!?! ;-)

I have a friend who does this. She was able to get enough diapers, wipes, and lotion/bath stuff to give a new mom for a whole year and it cost her nothing!!!!

She works very hard at this so she can be a stay at home mom. It's amazing.

Wow! That is amazing! I really need to start doing that. It almost makes me want to get out of my pj's and run to the nearest CVS (I don't have a Walgreens nearby). I eyed the CVS circular over and over again, planning all of my buys, but I just couldn't bring myself to go through the hassle of GOING. Your savings though... wow... Good job! I think this week will need to be my starting week.

Okay, I stumbled on your blog, because I read Ken Spivey's blog. My husband actually saw it and since I am determined to make a gift of saving money grocery shopping, will you please email me, so that I can get some tips from you? jennifermaggio98@hotmail.com I am very serious.

Like your other friend said, I recently began to stay at home after 8 years of corporate america, because God told me to give up my job, so saving money is VERY important to me.

When does class begin? I'm ready to learn! Is there a book that she is using? I don't have access to a teacher in this part of Texas but I'm so thankful God lead me to your blog. I would love to start saving. I normally spend $750 a month for my family of 4 which sounds astronomical compared to what you are saving. I'm ready and willing.

Great job!! So, I'm looking for the closest Walgrens! Have you checked out Aldi's? They don't offer these kinds of discounts, but things are generally cheaper there because they do things differently (no frills, no bags, no credit cards, etc).

WOw. It still just amazes me that people can do this. I'm not nearly so organized, and I usually have the four kids with me in the store.
Boy, I wish I could manage to get the deals like this... it's just a matter of training and being observant, right? :-)

Great Job Melodye! I can't believe it. Finally considering this cause you actually buy things we use...like the water and oatmeal. OFten I see this stuff and there is nothing I use. WOW!

So I did some calculations when I went to BJ's this AM (our food warehouse)...are there 12 packets in each of your oatmeal boxes? I was doing some comparison of price per packet.

we don't have a walgreens...anywhere close by...and sadly bj's doesn't do the rewards cash.

Anyway - just trying to see if this is even something worth attempting for me. It's been great watching your journey.

This is SO awesome! I have a few sites that I visit that give links to coupons and advertise all the deals, but I just haven't jumped on board yet!

AWESOME! Thank you for sharing!
