Last night we had a HUGE first! Our first family baseball game! HC and JB shared this first together!! It was so much fun! All day long JB was saying "I love baseball Mom! Do you love baseball? I love baseball!" We finally arrived and JB was so excited to see the baseball guys!
A nice man took our family picture! We were getting our grub on!! That would be a chicken tender in JB's hand!
We were early and it was fun for the kids to see all the prep work needed for preparing the field. Not to mention a few 'Baseball Guys' were out on the field stretching.
Every time a 'Baseball Guy' walked past JB he would yell "HI Baseball GUY!!" They would give him a courtesy wave and go on. He was that giggly kind of thrilled with every moment!
Finally one of those cool 'Baseball Guys' stopped and gave JB a baseball! He was so happy!
He and HC ran to show me up close!!! HC was just as happy for JB as JB was!
HC needed a little entertaining during some of the game. "Guess who"
Then our 'Baseball Guy hero' was up to bat! Since we are not yet super loyal fans of our home team - we took a picture of our friend who gave us the ball. He was so nice, he posed and everything!!
JB was working on catching a foul ball for his sister! And finally... after much waiting - HC asked the right 'baseball guy'. She asked the coach and he went and found her a baseball. When she got hers she said "Wow Mom. My baseball is nice and clean!" Totally a girl thing to say! JB could care less if his baseball was clean or not! It still makes me laugh!
After eating some ice cream and watching a few more innings the game was over. The home team won. I was rooting for the guest team since they were so nice to us. I know if we were on the home team dugout side they would have been just as kind! I do like to root for the underdog sometimes - but all is well. Game over!
The last thing they did was allow the kids 12 and under to run the bases. HC and JB did just that! They could not have had more fun... well it would have been especially more fun if we were watching an LSU game! All in all we were not team loyal and we enjoyed the fun! We do lean towards the home team but since this was our first game we were flexible! Glad the home team won! Great memories were made tonight!! This is the kind of stuff you dream of sharing with your kids for the first time and we've finally made it to this part of parenting fun! Can't wait for JB to run the bases for a real game.

Looks like a great time!! We haven't done a ballgame yet with the kiddos, but I know they'll have a blast!
By the way, my high school mascot? The Barons!!!
We've talked about taking our boys but still haven't done it. I think Channing and his brother are planning to take Tristan and his cousin, Mary Ryan.
Looks like LOTS of fun! I think Tristan will LOVE it.
It's sad that more people don't go. From the pictures, the stadium looks pretty empty. :(
Glad your kiddos had a good time. :)
FUN! Robert and I have been dying to take the kids. We went to .25 wing night by ourselves one time and the whole time kept saying..."the kids would love this!"
Hopefully soon - Lillian wouldn't last long, but it'd still be fun!
Hey--great pictures..looks like it was a great night! we are going to try and take the boys one night next week..i'm not sure how long they will last though! will you be at the meeting next monday? see you then.
