JB at the Dentist!

Last Tuesday was JB's first time to sit in the big chair! He's been twice now to witness the dentist at work on HC. The first time the hygienist asked JB to let her see his teeth and he was unwilling. We took HC for her 2nd check-up and JB was willing to let her see his teeth. We realized he was over his fear and quickly set an appointment for him too! Here he is in the chair showing off his new toothbrush!! They love getting the floss and the toothpaste too! It was quite a problem last time when the hygienist accidentally forgot HC's toothpaste! HC was devastated! But Ms. Candy came to the rescue and put one in the bag this time for HC too! Here is Ms. Candy letting JB try the air and water on his teeth. Ms. Candy is the sole reason I think my kids love going to the dentist. For a brief moment, while we waited to be called back I thought "What if it is another hygienist and not Ms. Candy?!?" She is just so patient and friendly that the kids become relaxed when she walks in the room!
JB was ready to try out Mr. Thirsty! HC has always had the fun of trying all the dental gadgets and now JB finally was the star of the show! The water on the bib thingy is due to JB squirting water out of the little thingy!
Counting those toothsies!! JB had his 20 all accounted for!
Clean those little guys!! I was proud of JB for remaining focused throughout all the prods and pokes!
HC just HAD to try the water too! She was sad to not be the one in the chair so we let her have a go at the water while JB waited on the dentist.
Mr. Dentist checked and Ms. Candy DID count correctly! JB got 2 thumbs up!!
It was off to the treasure box for a prize!
Then we headed out to a local library for free hot dogs (cooked by the Mayor) and a puppet show! It was so fun to see friends again after all the traveling!
The puppet show after was done by a local church.
The kids loved it! I loved it! I found it to be entertaining and it was nice seeing what some churches teach the kids with such neat tools!
This was one of my favorite songs... that is a little bug puppet in the middle and the song is "God loves everybuggy!"!! It cracked me up and it really had a great point! Think about it God loves every BUGGY. We all can be BUGS from time to time. We definitely bug someone in our lives, or else we are not human! They talked about how we should be like the moths and go to THE Light but that we should not be like the roaches and run from Him. Great message!
