8 Things About Me

Sandi has tagged me for “8 Random Facts About Myself”. Sandi mentioned the 8 things should be weird. I know some of these are weird, ok maybe all of them. :o)

The rules are as follows:

1. I have to post these rules before I give you the facts.
2. Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
3. People who are tagged need to write their own post about their eight things and post these rules.
4. At the end of your post, you need to choose eight people to tag and list their names.
5. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

So now for my 8:
1. I have tired of the comfy, fluffy slippers that get dirty and need washing. They are never the same again after that - they are then lumpy and uneven and therefore NOT comfy. So here is what I wear around the house instead: Bright Orange Crocs. That was the only color I was ok with at the time. I have forgotten to take them off twice and ventured out into the great big world with bright orange shoes and multi-colored socks. Lovely I know!
(For those who are new to my blog, if you want to know what is on the wall in the photo above, read this.)

2. I am the oldest of 4 and my youngest brother was born on my birthday. We are 5 years apart. He is my only blogging sibling.

3. My husband and I met at a restaurant grand opening. My best friend from high school was married to his cousin and matched us up. We both were opposed to meeting one another until we saw each another that night. Then we were both interested. The rest is history!

4. I played the flute in high school. I was mediocre in middle school and my dad asked me to try it in High School for one semester and I could quit after that if I hated it. My only regret is that I didn't give it a shot in college. Why didn't I go one semester in the Golden Band from Tiger Land!! I will regret that for a long time. Every football game I've attended - I've wished I could have a do-over just once. To walk on that field and play that fight song, to make that L S U on the field to have fun in the stands. It is over, regret is still with me. hohum...

5. I always carry a pack of cinnamon gum in my purse. It is a must have!!

6. Ever since I was pregnant, I have had to sleep with a pillow or something against my belly. Is that weird or what? My husband hates this added nuisance. Do you think that is the same thing as when people have a leg amputated and they still feel the leg? I don't feel that my belly is still there, so maybe it isn't the same thing. I don't know, I do know it IS weird!

7. I still have more VHS than DVD selections of my favorite movies. I am always behind on the technology front. The only thing I seemed to be updated with right away was the super awesome fantastic fabulous I-POD!! I just LOVE my I-Pod. It was my first Mother's Day gift. I won't tell you how long CD's were out before I bought my first one.

8. When I eat a cheeseburger, I usually tear off the edges of anything hanging outside of my bun. I normally eat burgers at home and so I leave the edge, shape of U. I eat the middle and I always leave the edge of the bun, meat, lettuce, etc.

We are coming to the end of this now - I have to tag 8 others. I recently tagged bloggers for another dose of this great meme fun and so I will try and choose different bloggy friends.

1. Nanette
2. Michael - this is my baby brother.
3. P-2 - this is my husband.
4. Ginger
5. Lisa
6. Jessica
7. Trista
8. Mallory

Fun Truths! You did a great job.

Our family owned the WhistleStop Cafe in Irondale for more than 30 years. We sold the restaurant so Mom & Dad would get out of the kitchen and retire. We still have all the rest of the business!

I will post 8 weird thing about myself. I'm not sure about tagging 8 friends as I have done so many of these Memes. I think it will be fun to try to think of the 8 things though.

It was fun to read your list :)
