Let's Talk About Hair

Before my hair appointment a few weeks ago, I looked something like this:
Now I look like this: Do you prefer before or after?? I still don't know which I prefer.I took these pics of myself - so that is why I look so goofy (less natural with my expression)! :) You try to take a picture of yourself and look relaxed! haha I decided highlights were becoming such a chore for me. I just do not enjoy the process as much these days. Less is more! I want to make better use of my time, sitting in a hair salon is not my first choice for free time anymore. So I took it back to 'au naturale'. What do you think??? By the way, does anyone ever re-create the way your stylist does your hair?? I cannot figure out why it is such a mysterious thing to do. It's just hair!!

I now have a new found respect for this picture of Glass Half Full. It is even more difficult to photograph yourself in the mirror. I still cannot figure out how she did this, now that I have tried to do something similar. She is the woman!!!

Hey Mel,
Wow! It's been a long time since I've visited! I've got to catch up!
Let me just say, I went back darker too (my natural color) and love it so much better than keeping up with those highlights!
Plus, it's fall---go darker and enjoy the new look.
I love it your hair darker and you do not look goofy!!!
Hope all is well,
Tracey

I LOVE your new hair color! I just did the same thing...the highlights were just making me a little nuts with having to get them redone all the time! AND, your haircut is awesome!!

You are gorgeous either way, but I will say that I have enjoyed going back to my natural color. No more wasted $ or time on highlights!

I agree with Lori. They're all beautiful styles on you. I say go with whatever's easiest. Highlights ARE a pain (not to mention expensive!). Either way, you'll look great.

Thanks, also, for your comments about discipline. I consider myself to be a pretty good disciplinarian, but my quickly approaching two year old is getting under my skin more than I'd like. His personality and temperament are more challenging than my first, so it's presenting some new obstacles in my efforts to discipline. I appreciated your comments!

Have a great day and weekend!

You are so cute! But I think I like your natural look better! Especially for winter. Good for you! It's cheaper and easier.

I think both look good, but I think I'm diggin' the dark. I can't wait to see it in person. :)

Oh I love the au naturale! So chic!

I NEVER can recreate how the stylist fixes it! Somehow when I put all that gunk in my hair, it just looks dirty! :-)
