Mary @notbefore7 is hosting Tiny Talk Tuesday - head over to her site to read more!!
A few days ago we were in the store and as we were passing by the feminine hygeine aisle I hear my daughter (4 years old) say- "Look mom, look at these BIG bandaids!"
Yesterday I was teaching HC her last vowel. She is dying to learn to read the letter B. Everyday she asks me to learn B. Well, when I told her it was her last vowel and we were going to learn the letter B next time:
she said - 'I can't wait to have a real teacher Mommy.'
I said - 'I'm your teacher HC'
she said - 'I know Mom, but after you teach me to read, I need a REAL teacher like Mrs. Christina.'
So much for my confidence level! :)
I was using the LeapFrog Fridge Alphabet thing to show HC the difference between H and an I. She always called the I an H, even though she knows it is an I. So we do a few other letters that are similar to our vowels and then I put it away.
Normally the kids call the LeapFrog thing the ABC's. If they ask for ABC's they want the fridge magnet game. But after talking so much about vowels, JB (2.5 years old) comes up to me and says, 'Mom, I need my bowels (vowels) please'. He's learning too! haha

ok that is so funny. "I need my bowels" I bet that made you laugh so ahrd!
These are so cute! I'm so glad Mary started this so we have a way to record these precious moments!
I love the "real teacher" comment...especially as a future homeschool mommy. I guess I have those moments to look forward to! So glad you participated!
His bowels! lol!
You're a real teacher!!!
yes, Asa asked me all the time when he can go to big school.....I tell him he is at big school just another big school! It does play on my guilt sometimes like he is missing out on something but I know that God has me homeschooling right now and their are great joys in it! He is having fun too he just sees his big brother going to a school outside the home.
So funny...don't you just love the things kids say??? They're hilarious!
Too funny!!!!
They are absolute riots! Oh, I love the things that kids come up with!! These are so great!
Jane, P&B Girls
That's so funny, they just say the funniest things!
So cute! Don't you just love the things kids say.
My kids have wondered about the personal hygiene product before too.
One time Megan said what is that mom. Is that a diaper too.
Derek asked about them one time too after we were done shopping and they bag was in the back of the van. He said, "Mom is that a bag of baby wipes?" I just said, Yes.
That's great!
